The Hemostasis ‘Y’ kit is used in angiography, balloon dilation and stent implantation for PTCA procedures & other intravascular therapeutic procedures that utilize a guiding catheter.
The kit consists of ‘Y’ connector, 3-way stopcock, torquer device & 18 G introducer needle.
The ‘Y’ connector includes a straight and a side access lumen.
The ‘haemostasis valve’ located at the proximal end of the straight lumen can be opened or closed by operation of the push-click button. Its distal end has a rotating male lure lock & its side access lumen allows pressure monitoring & perfusion.
The ‘blunt introducer’ (metallic insertion tool) is an accessory design to facilitate the introduction of guidewires used in conjunction with interventional devices during vascular interventional procedures.
The ‘torquer’ is designed to facilitate steering of guidewires inside the vasculature.
